Group Class Details

Training classes take place in a large 30×90 training field with US Turf. All group classes are held at the Helen Woodward Animal Center located at 6461 El Apajo Rd. Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067. The training field is located near the adoptions entrance closest to the Horizon Church. Both Rob Kuty, Heather Gould and Julia Giardino each instruct classes.

Proper and safe dog socializing is one of our top priorities. All group classes will consist of approx. 20 min of off leash play at the start of class. 40 min will remain for instruction. If you arrive late there will not be time to make up the socialization.

Please disclose all of your pets known medical conditions and behavioral problems to SDPT before the first class meeting. Dogs must be social to participate in a group class. Please contact us for a private appointment if you need help with socialization.

Only one adult client per dog will be permitted in the training field. A second adult is welcome to watch from the outside of the field and take turns as space permits. In the interest of safety young children are NOT permitted in class or to wait on the outside of the field during class times.
